Karl Mayer has signed an agreement to transfer selected assets from its former Stoll flat knitting business to Ningbo Cixing (Cixing Group). The assets include the Stoll brand, selected materials and stock, and specific technological assets. The transaction is pending closing and is expected to be completed at a later date.
The asset transfer follows Karl Mayer’s strategic decision, made in early 2025, to concentrate on its core business areas of warp knitting, warp preparation, and technical textiles. As part of that repositioning, the flat knitting machine business operated under the Stoll brand was discontinued and the production site in Reutlingen was closed in October 2025.
The future use of the transferred assets falls under the sole responsibility of Cixing Group and is not covered by the agreement. The group said it would provide updates on any future developments in due course.
