Karl Mayer will present warp knit, warp preparation and technical textile technologies and applications at India ITME 2026, which takes place 4–9 December 2026, in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR. The company will exhibit at Stand 15G19 in Hall 15, with multimedia machine presentations, textile application examples and one-to-one discussions with its experts.
According to the company, India’s textile industry is shifting from a production hub driven mainly by cost and volume toward a market focused on technology, exports and value creation.
In the service area, Karl Mayer’s Care Solutions team has expanded the Spare Parts Webshop for India to include common wear parts for knitting machines. The offering will be presented for the first time at the show.
Among the warp knit exhibits are the latest-generation Tricot machines and Jacquard double needle bar raschel machines. The company said demand for these models is rising in light of the Indian government’s restructuring plans, under which the textile industry is set to diversify and the production and processing of manmade fibers will be expanded further. Karl Mayer added that the athleisure and footwear sectors, in particular, are growing rapidly and driving investment in its machines.
“We’re seeing a great deal of interest in our technology from circular knitters. They recognize the advantages in terms of output and consistent quality and want to expand their product range to include warp knitted fabrics,” said Mark Smith, deputy vice president of sales business unit warp knitting at Karl Mayer. Two- and three-bar Tricot machines are among the company’s bestsellers in India, and are used to make athleisure wear. Visitors can view the performance of the latest models through machine demonstrations on large screens.
The new Jacquard double needle bar raschel machines, which produce shoe uppers with Jacquard patterns, were launched recently at ITMA ASIA. According to the company, they offer significantly greater design flexibility.
Karl Mayer will also display textiles and application examples covering classic home textiles and apparel, as well as woven-like warp knit, 4-way stretch fabrics and functional athleisure items. Smith sees potential in seamless body-mapping concepts and shoe fabrics with diverse Jacquard patterns, and expects numerous discussions with visitors on these topics.
The company’s Warp Preparation business unit will present creels, direct warping, sectional warping and sample warping machines, sizing and assembly machines, and indigio dyeing lines – also presented digitally.
Karl Mayer described technical textiles as one of the most promising growth sectors in India. Demand is particularly high for warp knitting machines with weft insertion, used to produce geogrids for applications such as slope stabilization, as well as composite machines for reinforcing fabrics across a range of applications.
The company sees future potential in the transportation sector. Composite components made on multiaxial warp knitting machines are increasingly used in the cabins of the new electric trains in the Vande Bharat Express series. The expansion of wind energy is also adding momentum, with demand for multiaxial warp knitting machines for producing reinforcement fabrics for rotor blades growing steadily.
