Dyeing and finishing technologies to headline ITM 2026 as market growth accelerates

Dyeing and finishing technologies, one of the most critical and value-added segments of the textile industry, are experiencing strong global growth driven by sustainability, quality and efficiency requirements. This transformation will be highlighted at the upcoming ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition in Istanbul, where innovations will be presented to industry professionals.

The global textile finishing lines market reached a value of USD 7.67 billion in 2024 and is forecast to rise to USD 10.05 billion by 2029, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 5.9%. Growth is being supported by increasing demand in automotive and technical textiles, alongside a continued focus on sustainable production and process efficiency. In parallel, the global textile dyeing machinery market is expected to reach approximately USD 6 billion in 2025, with annual growth projected to exceed 5.5% between 2026 and 2030.

This upward trend will be showcased at ITM 2026, taking place at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center from 9-13 June 2026. The Dyeing and Finishing Halls 11 and 12 will present a range of technologies designed to enhance productivity, optimize resource consumption and minimize environmental impact. Visitors will have opportunities to explore machinery, evaluate investment options and establish new collaborations in line with global market developments.

Technological progress in dyeing and finishing machinery is being shaped by environmentally responsible production, digitalization and automation. Low-liquor and salt-free dyeing machines significantly reduce water and chemical usage while improving dye uptake and shortening processing times. Innovations such as supercritical CO2 dyeing, dope dyeing and enzyme-assisted dyeing are gaining attention for their ability to conserve water and lower carbon emissions.

In finishing processes, energy efficiency is being enhanced through heat pumps, heat recovery systems and alternative energy solutions. At the same time, plasma, ozone and UV technologies are reducing chemical consumption while enabling advanced functional finishes including antibacterial and water-repellent properties.

Digital transformation is also playing a central role. IIoT-based dyeing and finishing systems enable real-time monitoring of key parameters such as temperature, pH, color intensity and chemical dosing. AI-driven color management and quality control systems are improving consistency while reducing waste and reprocessing.

Automation continues to advance through robotic transport systems and automated roll handling, minimizing manual intervention and ensuring consistent production flow. New-generation stenters, jet and overflow dyeing machines, multi-functional continuous lines and advanced tension control technologies are further elevating production standards.
