The CHT Group, a global player in textile chemistry and dyes, will present its latest sustainable textile technologies at the Performance Days Functional Fabric Fair in Munich on 18 and 19 March 2026. The company said the focus will be on innovative dyeing processes and functional finishes aimed at the targeted improvement of textile properties.
Among the trade fair highlights is Pigmentura by CHT, a pigment-based dyeing process that, according to the company, requires no water for soaping and rinsing and eliminates the need for energy-intensive heating of process water. The company stated that this reduces water consumption in the dyeing process by up to 96%. The technology received the German Federal Ecodesign Award in the Product category in 2024 and the German Sustainability Award in the Products category in 2026.
Also featured is BeSo strong, a textile effect from CHT designed to increase the durability and wear resistance of textiles. The company said improved abrasion resistance and longevity allow garments to remain in use for longer without compromising comfort or appearance. BeSo strong is suitable for knitted and woven fabrics made from cellulose fibers and their blends, and is intended for applications such as workwear, outerwear, knitwear, and everyday clothing. Recycled cotton fibers also benefit from the technology, which the company positions as a sustainable solution for more durable clothing and reduced environmental impact.
The third highlight, Arristan rAIR, is a hydrophilic finish made from recycled PET flakes that the company said provides moisture management, quick drying, and dirt repellency. Arristan rAIR is intended for finishing recycled yarns and fabrics that can then be recycled again, which CHT describes as a contribution to the circular textile economy.
In 2025, CHT received the adiFORMULATOR Award from adidas for the third consecutive year, recognizing what adidas described as the company’s role as a champion of sustainable innovation. As a foundation-owned company, CHT Group said it maintains a comprehensive sustainability agenda, with products developed and manufactured according to what the company describes as strict standards, focusing on biobased, biodegradable, and recycled materials to support the circular economy.
