Groz-Beckert, the world’s leading provider of industrial machine needles, precision parts, and systems for the textile industry, hosted an exclusive customer event titled ‘Advancing Weaving Excellence – Reed Portfolio Launch’ in Ichalkaranji, one of India’s prominent weaving hubs. The event brought together around 100 weaving mill owners and industry partners for an evening focused on innovation, global weaving perspectives, and the introduction of the company’s new reed portfolio to the Indian market.
The program included welcome remarks, global market insights, a dedicated Reed presentation, portfolio overview, interactive Q&A sessions, and networking over dinner.
In the welcome address, the company highlighted the significance of Ichalkaranji in its India operations, recalling the inauguration of its weaving showroom there in 2022. The gathering was described as a step toward deepening partnerships and bringing advanced weaving solutions closer to customers.
Senior representatives from Groz-Beckert’s global weaving division were present at the event, including Christof Naier, vice president and head of weaving division; Renato D’Agostino, senior sales manager, weaving division; and Sina Uttenweiler, product manager, reeds. Their participation, according to the company, reflected its commitment to supporting Indian weavers with global knowledge, precision engineering, and application expertise.
A key highlight of the evening was the formal introduction of the Groz-Beckert reed portfolio, which the company said expands its weaving offering beyond needles and components into a broader weaving solution approach. The reed presentation and subsequent Q&A sessions drew active engagement from attendees on topics including performance, durability, and application benefits for Indian weaving conditions.
