Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services (UMPESL), a subsidiary of Voltas, a Tata enterprise, has entered into a strategic agency agreement with Danitech Group, a global provider of textile dyeing, finishing, and automation solutions. Danitech Group is represented in the partnership by Danitech Engineering & Solutions Srl (Italy) and its subsidiary, Suzhou Danitech Intelligent Technology (China).
Under the agreement, UMPESL will serve as the exclusive partner for the promotion, sales, technical consultancy, and after-sales support of Danitech’s products and integrated solutions across India. The partnership will operate in alignment with Danitech’s global headquarters for delivery of the technologies to Indian customers.
The agreement brings together Danitech’s engineering capabilities with UMPESL’s market presence, project execution experience, and nationwide service network. UMPESL, which has been operating for over seven decades, provides textile solutions covering the value chain from spinning to garmenting, supported by engineering and customer service operations.
According to the companies, the alliance is intended to strengthen the Indian textile industry’s access to processing technologies, automation systems, and energy-efficient solutions, along with lifecycle service support. Both organizations said the partnership is aimed at advancing innovation, improving operational efficiency, and supporting growth across the sector.
The agreement was signed by Danilo Cagnazzi, chairman, Danitech, and Pradip Roy, head – textile division, UMPESL, in the presence of B. Saikumar, head – post spinning, UMPESL, and Jie Yin, chief executive officer, Danitech.
