TechnoSport, India’s largest activewear brand, has become the first company in the country to install the ZR Series long tube jet dyeing machines from Hisaka Works, Japan. The investment reflects TechnoSport’s focus on strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and advancing innovation in the performance apparel segment. Hisaka, credited with inventing jet dyeing technology, has worked in textile dyeing since 1951 and is known for its expertise in synthetic textile processing.
The ZR Series machines are designed to support the production of high-performance synthetic fabrics, which form the backbone of modern activewear. The technology is said to offer improved process control, efficiency and fabric quality, which the company said would help manufacturers meet demand for performance-driven apparel.
For TechnoSport, the investment marks another step in its effort to make performance activewear accessible to Indian consumers. By adopting the dyeing technology, the company aims to further enhance product performance, consistency and manufacturing quality.
Hisaka’s dyeing solutions are used across apparel and industrial textile applications, ranging from sportswear and uniforms to automotive interiors. The company said it continues to focus on sustainable innovation, including the development of environmentally friendly dyeing systems and supercritical CO2 dyeing technologies that reduce water consumption.
