Durst Group, a manufacturer of digital printing and production technologies, has sold 50 P5 500 TEX iSUB systems worldwide since the printer was introduced at FESPA Global Print Expo 2025. Sales have been particularly strong in North America and Europe, driven by demand for integrated workflows in soft signage, exhibition graphics and large-format textile applications, according to the company. The system combines print quality and productivity with inline fixation, software and an increasingly connected finishing process.

From 5-meter printing to integrated production
Durst introduced the P5 500 TEX iSUB at FESPA 2025 as a solution for industrial superwide sublimation printing. The system has a printing width of 5.2 meters and uses water-based sublimation inks and integrated iSUB inline fixation, combining printing and fixation in one continuous production process. According to the company, the platform was developed for high-volume producers seeking to reduce process steps, manual intervention and production time while increasing consistency, flexibility and scalability.
In 2026, Durst presented the P5 500 TEX iSUB together with a dedicated 5-meter Hasler cutting system. The combination extends the workflow from RIP and printing through inline fixation to the finished cut product. By connecting printing, fixation and finishing within one production environment, the company said it is addressing the efficiency of the entire process rather than the performance of an individual printer.
World of Sublimation at Durst headquarters
Durst has set up a dedicated World of Sublimation at its headquarters in Brixen, Italy, where customers can evaluate the complete production process under realistic conditions. The facility brings together the P5 500 TEX iSUB, workflow technology and 5-meter finishing in one demonstration and testing environment.
Prospective customers can run their own files, applications and materials through the complete production chain – from digital job preparation and printing to inline fixation and final cutting. This allows them to assess output quality, productivity and workflow efficiency against their own requirements before making an investment decision. The World of Sublimation also serves as an application and development center, where Durst works with customers to optimize processes and explore new business opportunities in industrial textile production.
