Ministry of Textiles reopens PLI Scheme portal for round 4 applications

The Ministry of Textiles will reopen the application portal for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles to accept new applications under Round 4 from 1 November 2026 to 31 December 2026. The scheme aims to promote the manufacturing of man-made fiber (MMF) apparel, MMF fabrics and technical textiles, enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities, attract investment, generate employment and strengthen India’s position in global textile value chains.

To facilitate wider participation, the ministry has made three key modifications to the scheme. The minimum turnover requirement under the Part 2 category has been reduced from INR 200 crore to INR 100 crore, enabling greater participation by MSMEs and mid-sized manufacturing units.

The scheme tenure has also been extended up to Financial Year 2033–34, exclusively for applicants approved under Round 4. The extended tenure is intended to give these applicants a longer investment and operational horizon for establishing and scaling up their manufacturing capacities.

In addition, all existing participant companies of Rounds 1, 2 and 3, in any part of the scheme, that have not claimed or received any incentive so far are eligible to migrate to Round 4. This is subject to the withdrawal of their existing applications under Rounds 1, 2 and 3, as applicable.

The online application portal, https://pli.texmin.gov.in, will remain open from 1 November 2026 to 31 December 2026. Eligible companies are encouraged to submit their applications within this period in accordance with the applicable scheme guidelines.
